Job Summary:  The most qualified candidate will be assigned to coordinate various aspects of a recently awarded grant designed to promote and improve the health and wellness of district students.  The School Wellness Coordinator will play a vital role in fostering a positive and productive learning environment for all students. This position works directly with students to develop their self-regulation skills, manage stress, and overcome challenges that may hinder their academic and personal success. This individual will empower students to become self-advocates and build the necessary skills to thrive throughout the school day.

 

Licenses:  Applicants must hold a current Colorado teaching license, be able to obtain one by the beginning of the school year, or be willing to pursue alternative licensure.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with students
• Have an understanding of child development
• Ability to work with K-12 students
• Experience with positive behavior supports
• Experience with trauma informed schools
• Maintain confidentiality with students while collaborating with relevant school personnel
• Ability to develop lessons on relevant topics such as stress management, study skills, and healthy habits
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary:  Salaries and benefits are dependent upon qualifications and experience.  The base salary is $41,349.
